Process + Technique
Each portrait begins with your photos as reference. I build the artwork in layers starting with bold color blocks, then shaping the features (especially the eyes and nose), and finishing with what I’m known for: detail-rich texture. I create my portraits digitally in Procreate on iPad, and I draw fur hair-by-hair to capture your pets unique markings and expression.
Color is part of the storytelling. I’ll pull from your pets natural tones and can also weave in your favorite colors (or a family palette) in a way that still feels elevated and timeless. Backgrounds are typically solid and minimal to keep the focus on your pet, with custom elements available by request.
Each piece is created slowly and intentionally typically 8+ hours of illustration work and finished to be printed as fine art.
Timeline
Most commissions are completed in 2-4 weeks, plus print production and shipping time.
Payment + Proofing
A 50% retainer is required to reserve your commission slot (non-refundable). The remaining 50% balanceis due before printing.
Before your portrait is sent to print, you’ll receive a watermarked, low-resolution preview to confirm print details (background color choice and any small notes). Because each piece is fully artist-led, this step is not for redesign or major revisions.
Preview window: Please reply within 72 hours to approve. If I don’t hear back, your portrait will be considered approved and will move into print production once the final balance is paid.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are commissions available?
Worldwide.
Do you illustrate from photos I take myself?
Yes—send 5–10 clear photos and I’ll choose the best reference for the strongest likeness and fur detail.
Can you combine multiple pets into one portrait?
Sometimes. Multi-pet portraits are available case-by-case depending on reference photo quality.
Do you provide digital files?
Illustration commissions are delivered as fine art prints only. I don’t provide print-ready digital files—this protects the integrity of the artwork and ensures your portrait is produced with the color, paper, and finish it deserves.
What’s the turnaround time?
Typically 2–4 weeks depending on current availability and print production.
